It’s sing-jia-poh
My big holiday started on the 8th of February and of course started with a super trip to Singapore! I arrived midweek, sigh, which can be quite a hassle to be honest. Mostly because friends are busy, no one is around and you just kinda have to get in and get out quick.
So I googled online for something simple, easy and convenient and I found the best ever service! The idea of rooms for rent is simply amazing. So I booked myself a room, in a lovely apartment only 10 minutes from city centre. Yay ness! Best part was clean rooms, superb service and excellent hosts. They were friendly, easy to converse with and gave me my space. Absolutely lovely!
Managed to meet up with the NZ peeps that night for dinner at The Handmade Burger and had drinks at Loof after. Best one nighter in Singapore ever! Even managed to have the elusive Burger King for late lunch before boarding the plane to Auckland at 7pm!!
Sheer bliss..
The old days
This was sent sometime last week in a Whatsapp group chat over CNY. And it cracked me up so much!!!
We were 17, and ready to take on the world!!
And sometimes, we just need to sit back and enjoy life. Especially hanging with the family over the holidays
My super cute grandpops using the iPad
P/s only 5 more sleeeeeeeeeps
Wanting to be 17 all over again!
Exactly after last years Chinese New Year, a bunch of us decided to start planning THIS years high school reunion. We’re a simple bunch, give us a place we can take over, alcohol and some free style school anthem’s and WE’RE GOOD!!!
So for 2012, we had a few options, but we finally decided on the newly opened sports bar, H.O.F (along Jalan Song, Titanium) and it was a blast. To be honest, I was slightly worried because Facebook event thing we set up did not give me much hope. With only 25 people RSVP-ing, we were looking at 30 fellas showing up.
This was a reunion for anyone, from any school within Kuching, who graduated in 1998. Of course we had other years come by too, that much was expected. But what if there was only 25 of us sad wannabes.. Sigh..
And the day came, and lo and behold, we packed out the place! It was really fun catching up, seeing old faces (lol), meeting other halves, remembering the days where all we worried about was not handing in your homework and which teachers were the worst of them all (hahaha) and of course, singing the school song!
It was über fantastic to see everyone, and to remember the old days. Here’s to next year’s high school reunion.. Who’s up for organizing it!!!! Cos I am retired hahah!
P/s 2 weeks and counting!!
Happy Dragon New Year
It’s Chinese New Year and I’m homeeeeeee in Kuching. Awesomeness galore. Not only is everyone home, but everyone is older (hehe) and richer so that means more fireworks, more money to be won and more money to be collected. Love love love.
It’s been almost non stop visiting and hanging out, which is super. Hanging out with high school friends, reminiscing on the old days, wishing we were 15 years younger but with the brains of a jaded 30 yr old. Sigh..
But I got 12 days of celebrating to gooooo
I just need to last the 12 more days hahahaha
Wishing everyone a safe and super new year
Meet Wilhelmina

Okkkkkkk
Back to regular programming now, I’m off to Miri town tomorrow for our NZ reunion. Can’t wait to see the girls, and the King (lol) and just hang. And poof before you know it Chinese New Year is here, and I’m of to NZ! Nuts aye? And before you know it, nette’s wedding is over. Wowsers!!
P/s I’m quite excited about traveling again. It’s been too long lol
